This maverick director had recently wrapped up a special chinese schedule which cost Rs 40 crores for a 40 day schedule. The estimated budget of the film is Rs 140 crores, but looking at the way money has been poured into the project there is nothing to get surprised even if the production cost exceeds the limit. Of course, Shankar is a master at recovering the investment and he always ensures that Producer is in a safe zone. This is the main factor behind the fact that the producer who wishes to team up with him willn't keep any restrictions on the budget of the film.
