Story:
Baadshah (NTR), a young and energetic Don, Son of Ranjan (Mukesh Rushi) who is an adherent to multinational crime conglomerate head Sadhu Bhai (Kelly Dorjiee). Baadshah’s aggression leads to conflict with Sadhu Bhai and gets separated. Sadhu Bhai is aware of the fact that Baadshah is very powerful and can destroy him, teams up with Crazy Robert (Ashish Vidyarthi) and Victor (Pradeep Rawat) to annihilate Baadshah. Sadhu Bhai plans a multi terrorist attack in some cities in India, Baadshah takes help from Jai Krishna (Nazar), a police Commissioner and his daughter Janaki (Kajal) falls in love with the hero. Baadshah’s complete transformation and Padmanabha Simha (Brahmanandam) rib tickling comedy with a powerful flash back and its connection with Siddharth and what will happen in Baadshah life?. Forms the story.
Performances:
NTR plays the tailor made role of a don looked very stylish and handsome in three variations with perfection. His body language, his expression, his voice are well suited. In second half NTR as ‘Justice Chowdhary’ is terrific. His dances for two songs, Sairo Sairo’ and ‘Rangoli Rangoli’ should be mentioned. Kajal as janaki was glamourous with a good performance as usual.
Bramhanandam as Padmanab Simha was hilarious and is worth mentioning, his god gifted comedy timing with ‘Inception’ film concept is a highlight for the film. M.S. Narayana as director Revenge Nageswara Rao is entertaining. Hero Navdeep as cop is handsome; Siddharth role is short but worthy. Vennala Kishore, Suhasini,Aashish vidhyarthi,Mukesh Rishi,Kelly Dorjee, Ramesh and Nazar are good.
Analysis:
Baadshah is complete action cum comedy entertainer. Director Srinu Vaitla after delivering block buster with Dookudu has set high expectations for this film with NTR and the movie live up to expectations. It is a typical Srinu Vaitla film and his formula and pattern with all commercial elements especially the comedy and dialogues.
First half of the film is very stylish with some mind blow action and MS Narayana’s comedy and a grand interval fight sequence. The second half is filled with extreme entertainment. Overall, the film has the right ingredients to appeal the family audience with Mahesh Babu’s magic voice power, there is no limit for a movie can achieve with a positive talk.
